To the editor:

Most everyone has heard about awards given to the South Whidbey High School Jazz Band, but not everyone knows that the other music groups at the high school are really good, too.

What’s more, performances at the comfortable high school auditorium are free of charge. Put these Tuesday dates on your calendars: Nov. 10 and Dec. 8, and prepare to be astonished at the quality of the music. The Wind Ensemble, the Concert Choir, the Symphonic Band and the Jazz Band will all amaze you.

The concerts start at 7, and usually end about 9 p.m., so you’ll be home, feeling great, at a reasonable hour. See you there!
