Editor,

The Fishin’ Club of Whidbey Island is healthy, growing and over 100 members strong.

Our club was founded in 1991 as a non-profit, family oriented educational club that serves the community. We are proud to grant college scholarships every year.

We co-sponsor a biennial pink salmon fishing derby with Ace Hardware in Freeland.

The Fishin’ Club welcomes all anglers and would-be anglers, even Broncos fans, to join us at the M-Bar-C Ranch the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, club Vice President Ken Price will present “Fishing from Canoes and Kayaks.”

Tight lines,

KEVIN LUNGREN
