LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Think about it and vote “no” on port measures

Editor, If you needed brain surgery, you wouldn't trust a ditch digger to do the job. That would be almost as dumb as voting to give the Port of South Whidbey responsibility for the Langley fairgrounds. The port has no experience, expertise or resources for such a job; it's also far beyond the port's mission. What's next, the Langley cemetery?

Editor,

If you needed brain surgery, you wouldn’t trust a ditch digger to do the job. That would be almost as dumb as voting to give the Port of South Whidbey responsibility for the Langley fairgrounds. The port has no experience, expertise or resources for such a job; it’s also far beyond the port’s mission. What’s next, the Langley cemetery?

Port commissioners admit they don’t have a plan for the fairgrounds; nevertheless, they still want to reach into your pocket and take even more of your tax money to spend on … what? Cotton candy?

Think about it and vote no on these two extremely ill-advised ballot measures.
