Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, including Outlying Field Coupeville and surrounding area, should be turned into a national military cemetery.

Any property owner could be compensated for their property if they wished to move. Any property owner who wished to remain could do so under an agreement with the government.

Think of the beauty that could remain and flourish. Think of the peace and quiet.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen could make this his thank you to the people of Whidbey Island.
