LETTER TO THE EDITOR: We are thankful to our community

To the editor:

It’s been a little over a month since our house burned. Sorry it took so long to get this out, but trying to get things back to normal is nearly impossible.

Our thoughts, thanks and prayers go out to all those who sacrificed their own safety to try to save things for people that they don’t even know. For a volunteer fire department they sure do a great job and are very professional.

We want to let everyone know that we deeply appreciate all the effort they put into being who they are for the people of our area.

All were very professional and courteous.

We would also like to give our thanks to the Red Cross and the help they gave us; we actually had nothing left but the clothes on our backs. Thank you to the people who so unselfishly gave clothing and bedding. We had just started to loose faith here, but we now reaffirm that our community is still and will always be a very caring community.

Once again from our hearts — THANK YOU ALL — without all of you and you know who you are, we would have nothing. We would also like to say that the things we could not use we donated back to the community.
