LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Where is the same public outcry for marijuana?

Editor, Let me say that I have always opposed legalization of marijuana and always will. A friend of mine has a small dog who ingested a tiny bit of marijuana that was left under a couch by renters. The dog almost died. A couple of months ago, a lady walked her dog on Double Bluff Park and the dog became extremely sick.

Editor,

Let me say that I have always opposed legalization of marijuana and always will. A friend of mine has a small dog who ingested a tiny bit of marijuana that was left under a couch by renters.

The dog almost died. A couple of months ago, a lady walked her dog on Double Bluff Park and the dog became extremely sick. The vet suggested that the dog undoubtedly ate some marijuana left over from a beach party.

Then the South Whidbey Record has a front-page article about two people in Langley whose dogs were scared from fireworks.

The Record article suggests that sale of fireworks be stopped period. My question is, “Shouldn’t the same rationale and outrage apply to both scenarios?”
