To the editor:

The weather cooperated. There were no injuries. You accomplished all that you set out to do. That 500-plus folks and businesses would take a Saturday or more to help out a neighbor, is testament to how wonderful a place Whidbey Island is to live and work. Your caring has helped to make Whidbey a stronger community.

What more could one ask for in life, than to be able to call this fair isle home and have so many good neighbors to share it with.
