To the editor:

I find it challenging to write a letter to the editor in order to acknowledge people’s contributions without it looking like one long column of names. While I know that it is fun for anyone to look up their name and see it listed in the paper, I thought I would try a different approach.

We had a fabulous fifth-anniversary party and an overwhelmingly successful fundraiser (raising more than $2,200!) from which many people will benefit, including the farmers and recipients of the locally grown organic produce from the Greenbank CSA program, the wonderful neighbors who are served by the fantastic folks at the Good Cheer Food Bank and our friends who live in the Glendale area who were abruptly woken by a life-altering disaster last month.

For every generous individual that donated their heartfelt service for the auction and for those lucky and generous individuals who purchased auction items and raffle tickets, for every person that cooked, set-up and cleaned up, prepared flowers, offered their artwork or music, and on and on … I thank you from my heart.

I thank you on behalf of all those families who will be aided by your contribution.

I trust that you know who you are, and it is for certain that I know who you are. Thank you.
