LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Make use of this rare resource

To the editor: The Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, aka WICA, is a rare and valuable community resource. I’ve personally experienced the quality and value WICA brings our community, both as an attendee and a participant. WICA entertains us, teaches us, symbiotically supports our businesses and enriches the community in many ways. If we want to continue enjoying the benefits WICA brings us we must give it our support.

Of course, donations and volunteering are very helpful and much appreciated, but perhaps the most important way to support our theater is to ATTEND. There are some very talented youths and adults on South Whidbey; actors, directors, artists, musicians, writers and many others. If you’re not seeing them, you’re missing out! It’s not just shows either. There are classes and other events that are fun and interesting for novices and pros. I urge everyone to come to the theater! There’s some mighty fine stuff happening at WICA. I hope to see you there.
