To the editor: Soroptimist International of South Whidbey Island would like to thank the community for its support of our second annual Shred-It event on May 14.

To the editor:

Soroptimist International of South Whidbey Island would like to thank the community for its support of our second annual Shred-It event on May 14.

Whidbey Island Bank was most generous in its sponsorship of the Shred-It truck so that each dollar donated will go to our mission of helping women and girls in the South Whidbey community.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland was kind to allow us again to use its parking area for the location of the event.

It was win-win for all concerned, and allowed many to securely shred personal and financial records and benefit their community. Our third annual Shred-It event will be Saturday, May 10, 2012.

Again, thanks to all of you for your continued support.
