To the editor:
It is obvious that Mr. Freeman does not know much about the Constitution and the writers. His article makes no sense; we are the most powerful and successful nation in the history of the world because people come first.
It is all about freedoms and being the best you can be. A few examples are Boeing Co., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, GE, Apple, Nordstrom and even Walmart, and thousands of other companies and corporations started by ordinary people who had a vision and took the gamble. Many of these people failed several times before becoming successful. The above-mentioned businesses employ millions of people in our country and all over the world.
The United States is the envy of the world; people come from all countries to start businesses and work in the U.S. It is because people are free and are treated like humans.
We are by no means perfect, but our form of government is the best thing going.
Many of our problems come from politicians who put their party first and have forgotten that they have constituents who employ them.
We are free people today because our Founding Fathers had a vision not only for then, but also for the future of our great nation and the people.
