To the editor:
In the March 26 issue of the Record, the article “Updated subarea plan seen as Freeland’s foundation,” the writer states, “Polarization appears to be under way, as officials and property owners lock horns over a proposed two-phase sewer system expected to cost nearly $40 million.”
In truth, only the property owners in phase one of the project would be involved in shouldering the costs associated with the $40 million estimate. This burden would belong to less than 500 property owners.
The cost estimates for phase two have not yet been determined.
All property owners living in these areas need to be made aware of this.
