To the editor:

Clearly, the person who wrote stating that the mayor and the council should resign is poorly informed.

Especially when he suggests that the council members may raise their salaries. Please sir, engage your brain before opening your mouth. The council receives such a paltry sum that I doubt if they can afford gas and a lunch, one time, for the pennies they receive each month.

As to the on-going controversy, I think the real disservice to the community is being propagated by the editor, Brian Kelly. As usual, he picks insignificant issues and tries to make mountains out of them. This issue turned into nonsense weeks ago. If somebody should resign or be fired, it is Brian Kelly. Either try to find newsworthy subjects, or spend the remaining days of your career making stone soup.
