To the editor:

I’m angry. I am sick and tired of the teabagger Republican wing of America and the spineless Democratic enablers of these thugs driving the debate about the budget.

I’m no Nobel prize-winning economist, but when the Republicans and the spineless Democrats buy into the line of “if we tax the oligarchs that run America then they won’t create the jobs that only oligarchs can create,” while sitting on their butts doing nothing but taxing the working poor and giving that money to warmongers, the oil barons, Republicans and spineless Democrats that love and profit mightily from those dehumanizing wars, then it makes me angry.

If lowering taxes on the richest people and the most profitable corporations the world has ever known created jobs then America would have no employment problem; everyone would be working. Buying into this lie has worked now for 30-plus years.

Look around and tell me that putting more money into the hands of these liars has helped you in your search for one of these jobs that this insane policy has created, and tell me that this has been a good policy for American citizens.

Look around and tell me that the TARP money that Bush gave away to the banksters just before he slithered out of Washington has helped you.

Look around and tell me that cutting education funding and school lunch programs for poor kids to give more tax breaks to corporate jet owners is good for America.

Tell me that cutting Social Security and Medicare and programs that benefit working poor people (Obama has put this “on the table”) will balance the budget while these same oligarchs spend about a trillion dollars a year on a military machine to “defend” this miracle of capitalism, America.

PT Barnum was completely wrong, there isn’t a sucker born every minute. In America today, the rate is much higher.
