Artworks Gallery features potter Muchnick in Greenbank

Artworks Gallery will feature potter Marcia Muchnick during April. Using all natural materials in her porcelain, stoneware and paper-clay designs, Muchnick’s pottery may be seen during Artworks First Friday reception April 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Artworks Gallery will feature potter Marcia Muchnick during April. Using all natural materials in her porcelain, stoneware and paper-clay designs, Muchnick’s pottery may be seen during Artworks First Friday reception April 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Live music will be provided by guitarist Quinn Fitzpatrick. There will be light snacks and beverages. Artworks Gallery artists will be on hand to greet visitors during the reception.

Muchnick who has always had an artistic bent said, “I’ve found my calling in designing functional pottery for everyday use.” She began taking pottery classes in 2010 during rehab for an injury. Her Pilgrimage Pottery line includes hand-thrown mugs, bowls, platters, pots and vases.

Other art on exhibit at the gallery include paintings in oil, watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, and pastel; handcrafted jewelry, color and black and white photography, fiber arts, metal sculpture and garden art, pottery, raku and fused glass. Giclees and cards by the artists are also available. Artworks Gallery artists will be on hand to greet visitors during the reception.
