Free film screening and community conversation about dementia caregiving at Clyde

Watch “Wine, Women, and Dementia,” a candid documentary that follows a cross-country road trip.

The community is invited to a free screening of “Wine, Women & Dementia” and a community conversation from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the Clyde Theater in Langley. The event is hosted by South Whidbey at Home and Healing Circles Langley.

“Wine, Women, and Dementia” is a warm and candid documentary that follows director Kitty Norton on a cross-country road trip to meet and connect with other dementia caregivers, according to a press release. Through honest conversations, shared glasses of wine and moments of humor, the film explores how community and connection can sustain dignity and joy in the face of memory loss.

The film will be followed by a community conversation hosted by the film’s director/producer, Kitty Norton, along with Beth Herrild, the executive director of South Whidbey at Home, and Aimie Vallat, an advisor to Healing Circles Langley and a filmmaker.

Other local nonprofits that support dementia care will also be present to provide information.

All are welcome, and while the event is free, contributions that help make events like this possible will be gratefully accepted.
