Highland Games returns to Greenbank

The 13th edition of the Highland Games comes to Greenbank Farm today.

The 13th edition of the Highland Games comes to Greenbank Farm today. Gates open at 8 and the competitions start at 9 a.m. There will be Celtic entertainment, Highland dancing, pipebands, athletics — including putting the stone, the Scottish hammer throw, throwing a 56-pound weight for height, and the caber toss — and a beer garden. Highland dancing competitions start at 9:30 a.m., and the opening ceremony is at noon. Admission is $10 adults, $6 for kids, seniors and military with ID; children 4 and under are admitted free.
