The January and February art show will feature three local artists at Blooms Winery Taste for Wine & Art.

The work of Gary Schallock, Debra Calkins and Clif Baldwin will be featured at the store and includes watercolors, mixed media fiber arts, paintings and sketches.

Schallock has worked in a variety of mediums, such as drawings, oil painting, print making, mixed media and sculpture. He will show a selection of watercolors that capture the spirit of the island.

Working with materials that range from fabric to metal to pipe cleaners and more, Calkins produces mixed media fiber arts in wall and soft sculpture. Her subject matter includes nature, internal landscapes and social issues. For this show she will feature a series showing women’s resiliency and strength called “Torsos.”

Baldwin interprets life as he sees it and is inspired by people and their actions and reactions to life. He is showing pieces he created as a tribute to the Beatles as the band approaches their 50th anniversary.

The opening artists reception will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3. For more information visit the website at www.bloomswinery.com or call 360-321-0515.
