AAUW accepting grant applications

The American Association of University Women Whidbey Island Branch is offering a $1,200 grant to a female student graduating from South Whidbey, Coupeville and Oak Harbor high schools.

The American Association of University Women Whidbey Island Branch is offering a $1,200 grant to a female student graduating from South Whidbey, Coupeville and Oak Harbor high schools.

The student must plan to pursue a visual or performing arts degree and attend an accredited college or university or visual/performing arts school. The grant is based on the recipient’s character, academic record, interest in art and participation in the art exhibits or performing arts events, financial need, work experience, and service to community.

For forms and details, students should contact their counselor or teacher.  Completed application packages are due March 9.
