Artists of South Whidbey presented $500 for the Whidbey Arts in Education Community Consortium during their March meeting. The check will go to support the artist-in-residence program the council oversees.

Artists of South Whidbey presented $500 for the Whidbey Arts in Education Community Consortium during their March meeting. The check will go to support the artist-in-residence program the council oversees.

The artist-in-residence program pays to put local artists in the South Whidbey schools to help teach art-associated programs.

The Artists of South Whidbey funds these educational gifts through their annual art show held in July and through the sale of members’ greeting cards in a various Whidbey Island shops including Casey’s Crafts, Quilter’s by the Sea, Bayview Farm and Garden and BookBay.
