Berto and Lehman to wed at family’s Maxwelton farm | MATRIMONY

Jim and Kim Berto of Langley are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter Amy Jo Berto to Culley James Lehman, son of Jim and Joan Lehman of Clinton. The couple was engaged after a proposal on a deer hunting trip this past fall.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Abe and Pam Luhn of Clinton and Jim and Pat Berto of Centralia. Grandmothers of the groom-to-be are Betty Lehman of Freeland and JoAn Johannsen of Freeland.

The couple grew up together on South Whidbey and both are 2002 graduates of South Whidbey High School.

Berto graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University with a bachelor of fine arts in modern dance in 2006. She is a dance instructor for Island Dance and a company dancer with Redd Legg Dance of Seattle.

The groom is employed by Brown Bear Septic and B&W Pump Company.

Berto and Lehman also own and operate a septic inspection company, CAL Septic.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 4 at Hillside Polled Herefords, Berto’s grandparents’ farm in Maxwelton. A honeymoon is planned to Flathead Lake, Mont.
