Eight children participated in Whidbey Children’s Theater’s Spring Break Camp.
The students, ages 7 through 10, studied “The Secret Garden” and performed it for parents and friends. Instructor Suzanne Kelman guided the class and created an authentic experience for the children by having an English tea party for them after the performance.
During the camp week, the children took moss, flowers, stones and sticks and made their own miniature “secret” gardens.
“The class was a great hit, and participants were a little sad to see it end,” said executive director Sue Averett.
