Christian Science service on Sunday explores Spirit

If we turn to God as the only power and the source of all life, then we are not subject to chemicals, disease or lack. Thus, true freedom is within the understanding that God (Spirit) is the source of all, and one does not need to suffer at the hands of medical diagnoses, political/economic influences, or violence. This path to freedom is the subject of the Christian Science service on “Spirit,” beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road.

“I am the Lord All-Powerful. So don’t depend on your own power or strength, but on my Spirit,” (Zechariah 4:6).

“The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind — that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle,” (“Science and Health”).

Everyone is welcome for this exploration in how to claim God as all-powerful: “Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine ‘powers that be,’” (“Science and Health”).
