Couple celebrate island wedding

Ariel Hansen, daughter of Sue Ellen White and John Goertzel of Langley, and Jon Eric and Gretchen Hansen of Normandy Park, wed William Felton, son of Rabbit Felton of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Rebecca Felton of Camas, Utah, on June 19 on Camano Island.

The ceremony was held at Four Springs House, and the wedding party and many of their family and friends stayed at the cabins at Cama Beach.

The bride’s attendants were her friends Lisa Timberlake of Lancaster, Pa., and Ben Pavalon of Chicago, Ill. The groom’s attendants were his stepsister Jessica Csanky of Salt Lake City and his friend Shane Lidman of Seattle. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Matreya and Quinn Roberts of Vancouver, B.C., and Megan and Carolyn Goertzel of Bellevue. The ceremony was officiated by Renee Blackman of Kennewick, a cousin of the bride.

The bride wore a strapless, A-line satin-backed silk shantung gown with a hand-painted silk organza overskirt, which she designed and was handmade by her mother.

The groom is a graduate of Willamette University and Western Governors University, and teaches math at The Community School in Sun Valley, Idaho. The bride is a graduate of Haverford College and is the Wood River bureau chief for the (Twin Falls, Idaho) Times-News.

The couple make their home in Hailey, Idaho. They honeymooned briefly in Roslyn, and plan a longer vacation in New Zealand in the spring
