Both lanes of Cultus Bay Road in Clinton were closed for about 30 minutes on Friday morning following a three-car collision near Glendale Road.

The wreck involved four people, and three were sent to WhidbeyHealth Medical Center in Coupeville for precautionary measures.

South Whidbey Fire/EMS Deputy Chief Jon Beck said it seemed like none of the transported passengers sustained life-threatening injuries.

The collision occurred around 8:45 a.m. According to Lieutenant Evan Tingstad with the Island County Sheriff’s Office, the preliminary investigation suggest a blue van was struck from behind by a red truck while waiting to turn left onto Glendale Road from Cultus Bay Road. The red truck then veered off the road into bushes. The collision caused a white van on Cultus Bay Road to veer into the opposite ditch.
