Deadline nears for WIAC scholarships

Applications for $1,000 scholarships from the Whidbey Island Arts Council are available to graduating high school seniors who are majoring in performing, visual or literary arts in their first year of college.

Scholarship application packets for 2011 are available at South Whidbey High School, Bayview School, Whidbey Island Academy, Whidbey Children’s Theater, Island Dance, Island Strings, Coupeville High School and Oak Harbor High School. The application documents are also available to download online at www.islandartscouncil.org.

Applications are due on March 10. Submit applications by mail to Barbara Graham, WIAC Scholarship Coordinator, 430 Fourth St., Langley, WA 98260.
