Desist order given to first food truck, Langley council to consider weekend allowance

The Langley City Council will meet in a special session tonight to consider a two-day suspension of a desist business order given to The Big Wierzbowski earlier this week.

The Langley City Council will meet in a special session tonight to consider a two-day suspension of a desist business order given to The Big Wierzbowski earlier this week.

The food truck began operating on First Street late last month, but the length of the vehicle exceeds the 20-foot maximum outlined in city code. The city issued the desist order Thursday, mandating that business owner Joe Wierzbowski cease operations.

The truck is open a few days a week, Thursday through Sunday.

The council announced the special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, just within a 24-hour notification requirement.
