On South Whidbey, matches met at the South Whidbey Community Park in Langley, and North Whidbey matches gathered at Smith Park on March 27 for their annual Easter egg hunt.

Kids between the ages of six months and 13 years were searching for hundreds of hidden eggs along with the golden egg that contained a special prize.

On South Whidbey, Little Sister Lexie Smith found the golden egg.

All the kids walked away with baskets stuffed with goodies.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County matches youths with mentors from the community. The matches usually make their own plans, but the agency regularly puts on events for its participants.
