Fear not, for the Falcons play today (and tomorrow).This week’s Falcon Classic basketball tournament will be the last of the second millennium, but hopefully the first step in a long winning streak for all the Falcon teams.Play begins today at 1 p.m. in the high school’s auxiliary gym when Coupeville’s junior varsity boys play Lynnwood. South Whidbey’s JV boys play in a 2:30 p.m. game against Lakeside in the same location. The Falcon JV girls play in the fifth game of the day, taking on Lynnwood at 4:15 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.For varsity action, Falcon fans need only wait until 6:15 p.m., when the boys face off against Lakeside. The girls varsity team plays Lynnwood in the final game of the day at 8 p.m. Both varsity games will be held in the main gym.On Thursday, the game order will be determined by wins and losses in the previous game.
