Langley Councilwoman Rene Neff and Councilman Robert Gilman filed to run for reelection Monday.
The filing period for the November 2009 election started June 1 and runs through Friday, June 5.
Few positions up for grabs in the fall have two candidates. One exception is on the South Whidbey school board; Tom Fisher has filed as a candidate against incumbent school board member Jill Engstrom. Both filed as candidates Monday for the District 5 position.
Randy Heston has filed as a candidate for Commissioner Position 2 on the Port of South Whidbey. The position is currently held by Port Commissioner Rolf Seitle.

No one has filed to run for Position 2 on the Langley City Council. The position is currently held by Russell Sparkman.
