Jeff Simmons of Island County Fire District 3 visited preschoolers at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.

Students pictured are Alyssa Staats, Jocelyn Nichols and Chloe Gossler who learned some important lessons from Firefighter Simmons. They practiced the stop, drop and roll procedure and how to call 911. Simmons also showed the 2- to 5-year-olds how his fire jacket and breathing mask work.
