Callahan McVay has another five years in the Langley Firehouse.

Langley City Council approved a new five-year lease at the city-owned property on Second Street. McVay will pay $2,403 per month.

Langley has a special right to use the rear space up to six times each year.

“The whole thing seems to be a win-win arrangement,” said Mayor Fred McCarthy. McVay creates glass art in the firehouse and tourists can blow their own glass.

Council approved the lease 4-0. Councilman Jim Sundberg was absent.
