The Record: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

Emma: “That we’re thankful for everybody.”

The Record: What are you thankful of?

Emma: “My grandma. We go to her house for Thanksgiving.”

The Record: Do you help your family cook during Thanksgiving?

Emma: “No, I don’t even like turkey.”

The Record: What do you like to eat for Thanksgiving?

Emma: “I sometimes like to eat toast. Sometimes I have something else.”

The Record: What’s on the menu?

Emma: “Dinner. And turkey.”

Alleira: “I’m thankful for my dad and my mom.”

The Record: What’s your favorite part about Thanksgiving?

Alleira: “Toys.”

The Record: What is your family going to do on Thanksgiving?

Alleira: “Eat pumpkin pie.”

The Record: How much do you like pie? A lot or a little?

Alleira: “A little.”

The Record: Why did the pilgrims come to America?

Alleira: “To plant the fish in the ground.”

The Record: What are you going to eat for Thanksgiving?

Alleira: “Pumpkin pie.”

Joshua: “Turkey.”

The Record: What does your family do on Thanksgiving?

Joshua: “They basically just eat turkey.”

The Record: Does your family eat pie?

Joshua: “I’ve never tried pumpkin pie. But I’m going to try it today.”

The Record: Do you help your family make dinner?

Joshua: “No, they basically just do it by themselves.”

The Record: Do you know why the pilgrims first came to America?

Joshua: “Because they wanted to live their way and the king, he said, ‘No.’”

The Record: What are you thankful for?

Joshua: “I’m thankful for my mom and dad and my brother.”

Auryn: “I’m thankful for my dog. Because I love my dog.”

Auryn: “A pumpkin pie. And cream.”

Auryn: “We don’t have the ingredients to make pumpkin pie.”

Auryn: “Because they lived there?”
