Gale warning in effect for west coast of Whidbey Island

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a gale warning for Admiralty Inlet and the central and east area of the Strait of Juan de Fuca that will remain in effect until 9 a.m. Monday.

Northwest winds from 28 to 40 mph are forecast, and waves of 4 to 6 feet are expected in Admiralty Inlet.

The warning covers the west coast of Whidbey Island from Deception Pass to Double Bluff.
