South Whidbey Girl Scouts made something savory for customers at Good Cheer Food Bank last weekend.

Members of the scouts joined together to make dried-soup mixes Saturday, Dec. 7 during the annual Girl Scout Food Drive. The girls have donated more than 300 soup mixes to Good Cheer for the last three years.

Customers at Good Cheer can pick up the soup mixes for zero points.

The girls spent the afternoon making the soup mixes at the Langley Middle School home-economics room after they attended the Langley Holiday Parade.
