Whidbey Island Bank is prepared to boost the Good Cheer Food Bank in a big way, if others chip in as well.

The bank is offering a matching grant of $5,000 to go toward holiday meals at the Bayview-based food charity. For the matching grant to kick in, donations up to $5,000 must be collected. Aid of $100 or more is eligible for a bag of Good Cheer’s Cup of Cheer coffee, a blend from Mukilteo Coffee Roasters in Langley. Donations may be made at any Good Cheer location or online at www.goodcheer.org.
