A Seattle boat that brings dozens of tourists into Coupeville during the spring is delaying its visits to the Central Whidbey town.

The Victoria Clipper, based in Seattle, had to postpone visits to Coupeville for two weeks because it is in a shipyard undergoing repairs and a second boat isn’t available, according to information provided by the Port of Coupeville that owns the Coupeville Wharf. Because of the repairs, visits scheduled March 16 and 17 and March 23 and 24 had to be canceled.

The Victoria Clipper stops at the Coupeville Wharf throughout the spring while the gray whales are visiting Saratoga Passage. Sightseers have time to enjoy lunch and shop on historic Front Street in Coupeville. The Victoria Clipper spends about two hours in Coupeville each time it visits.

The tours will begin March 30. Additional tours take place April 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21 and May 4 and May 12.
