Habitat for Humanity of Island County is looking for partner families on South Whidbey and will hold two more informational meetings in Freeland to talk about applying for the program.

Habitat for Humanity joins with low-income families to build simple, decent and affordable housing. Families are selected on the basis of need for housing, ability to make payments on an affordable mortgage and willingness to be active partners, which includes contributing 500 sweat equity hours. The meetings will provide more details and give families a chance to have their questions answered.

Habitat is looking for people who want to build and live in the Freeland area.

The meetings are 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 and 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 at the Trinity Lutheran Church Annex, 18341 Highway 525.
