Hospital Auxiliary awards two student scholarships

The Whidbey General Hospital Auxiliary awarded two $600 yearly scholarships to Whidbey students pursuing a health care career.

The Whidbey General Hospital Auxiliary awarded two $600 yearly scholarships to Whidbey students pursuing a health care career.

The winner of the Charlotte Dowler Memorial Scholarship is Savannah McGraw, the daughter of Chad and Heather Saxton of Clinton. She plans to attend Everett Community College and pursue a degree in nursing.

The Wilma Patrick Scholarship was awarded to McKenzie Kooch, the daughter of Melanie and Gregory Kooch of Coupeville. She was accepted to Eastern Washington University and also will pursue a degree in nursing.

The Whidbey General Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit organization that serves as a fundraiser and depository for charitable gifts. Donations to the Auxiliary can be earmarked for general health purchases or specific initiatives.
