House prices rise slightly on South Whidbey

Fewer homes were on the market in June on South Whidbey compared to the June 2012, but home that sold went for a bit more money.

The Northwest Multiple Listing Service reports total active listings for June 2013 were 882, down from 946 the same month in 2012. The median sale price (half higher, half lower) in June 2013 was $356,940, up from $334,950 in June 2012.

Median sale prices year-to-date are a bit above last year’s figure. To date through 2013, the median sale price is $319,900, up from $318,750 through June 2012.
