The Island County Planning Commission will meet next week to talk about amendments to the county code that would clarify the appeal process for clearing and grading permits.

The Island County Planning Commission will meet next week to talk about amendments to the county code that would clarify the appeal process for clearing and grading permits.

Other amendments are also on the agenda, including a proposal to simplify permit review timeframes.

Dean Enell, chairman of the planning commission, will also lead a discussion on the “downstream costs of growth,” which will include a brief review of a study by Eben Fodor.

The commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 8 in the commissioners’ hearing room in the County Annex.
