7:32 a.m., four cows were reported on the side of Newman Road near Main Street in Freeland. They were the same cows reported loose earlier.

9:29 a.m. Community Thrift in Freeland reported someone keeps urinating in cups and leaving the cups in various places around the store. It had happened about 8 times.

3:54 p.m., a caller reported his vehicle hit a deer on East Harbor Road. There was also a low hanging line over Amble Road.

4:30 p.m., a residential burglary was reported on Crawford Road. Someone broke into the garage and items were missing.

Wednesday, Feb. 29

10:07 a.m., syringes were reportedly found on stairs near the post office in Freeland.

10:10 a.m., five black cows were reported on Newman and Double Bluff roads. They were walking down the road and eating alongside the road in a pasture.

12:01 a.m., a Columbia Beach Drive resident reported a burglary that occurred in mid-February. A window was broken for access.

12:39 p.m., the theft of a lawn mower, generator and barbecue was reported at a residence on Swede Hill Road.

Tues., Feb. 28

10:03 a.m., a caller on East Harbor Road complained of a string of South End burglaries and asked for an officer to speak on safety measures to their group.

2:28 p.m., a caller complained of a dog that barks day in and day out on Quigley Road.

1:22 p.m., about a dozen shots were reported fired directly behind the Assembly of God church on Maxwelton Road.

1:27 p.m., a caller suspected someone was illegally cutting trees north of Mutiny Bay Road off Highway 525.

4:12 p.m., three loose horses were reported at the corner of Deer Lake Road and Lake Shore Drive.

4:16 p.m., a Rain Drop Lane resident reported there’s a coyote who sleeps under a bush in her yard. She was worried it might be ill.

At 4:26 p.m., theft of mail was reported on Woodbine Road sometime in January. Neighbors reported the same problem.

Monday, Feb. 27

At 9 a.m., a three-car accident with possible injuries was reported on Maxwelton Road near South Whidbey Parks.

At 9:11 a.m., a caller reported a horse at a place on Houston Road had been dead for a week. Health concerns were expressed.

At 9:52 a.m., a caller on Cedar Vista Drive reported he would be shooting a starter pistol for training his hunting dog.

At 11:24 a.m., a caller reported a Subaru stopped at the bus stop at Cedar Cove Lane and Cedar Vista Drive and the driver tried talking to her 9-year-old son.

At 1:27 p.m., a Ford Explorer went over an embankment on Smugglers Cove Road. Nobody was injured.

At 2:36 p.m., a Ribbit Road resident reported a burglary attempt.

At 4:18 p.m., a caller said his car was rear-ended at Highway 525 and Classic Road.

At 4:34 p.m., a caller on Salmon Street reported the theft of his outboard motor from his boat parked in his driveway.

At 6:10 p.m., a caller complained of a dog that barks constantly on Graceful Acres. She can’t even walk outside without it barking.

At 7:39 p.m., a caller on Sunlight Beach Road reported her husband fainted.

Sunday, Feb. 26

At 7:29 a.m., an ongoing problem with barking dogs was reported at Discovery Place.

At 9:24 a.m., water was reported pouring up from under the pavement near the entrance to the road shop on Highway 525.

At 10:14 a.m., a tree was reported blocking both lanes on Fish Road between Mutiny Bay and Highway 525.

At 12:14 p.m., a caller on Hilltop Drive reported his house had been toilet-papered and egged the night before. After cleaning it up he discovered there was also a white residue in his gas tank.

At 1:19 p.m., an Evening Glory Court resident reported a non-injury, hit-and-run accident happened last night.

At 2:26 p.m., a caller reported a dog attack occurred at Double Bluff Beach. A Doberman attacked his small Daschund, and the aggressive dog’s  owners were extremely rude about the incident.

At 3:03 p.m., a red Toyota Tacoma and white Ford Ranger were involved in a non-injury accident on Highway 525 in front of Ken’s Korner.

At 9:58 p.m., a caller on Crane’s Landing Road reported hearing two gunshots.

Saturday, Feb. 25

At 6:35 a.m., a caller reported a tree was blocking a lane of travel at a blind corner on Scatchet Head Road.

At 9:19 a.m., a caller reported vehicles were removed without permission from his aunt’s property on Cultus Bay Road.

At 1:48 p.m., a caller reported hearing 6 or 8 gunshots from a large caliber weapon in the Becker Road area, on the north side of Pioneer Place.

At 3:42 p.m., a caller reported a sleeping woman in the Clinton ferry terminal. She looked intoxicated when she stumbled off the bus an hour or two ago.

At 9:10 p.m., a caller reported a possible car prowler as items were moved around inside her vehicle parked on Pioneer Park Place.

At 9:35 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious red truck parked in a field at Lone Lake and Saratoga roads.

Friday, Feb. 24

Ar 4:01 a.m., a woman on Elsica Drive who takes care of an elderly male reported he walked out of the residence; he was upset because he could not find his wallet.

At 8:34 a.m., a caller reported a reckless driver at the wheel of a blue Jeep cutting off vehicles on Highway 525 near Classic Road.

At 9 a.m., a woman on East Harbor Road wanted to make arrangements to drop off her ex-husband’s guns.

At 9:30 a.m., a caller was upset about not being brought back to his residence on Elsica Drive.

At 10:35 a.m., a man reported he had a heated argument with another man in the Chase Bank parking lot in Freeland. Upon reflection, he decided it was he who was out of line and he wanted help finding the man he had argued with.

At 11:05 a.m., a caller reported finding two suitcases on his dad’s property. Inside were laptop computers, syringes and what appeared

to be other drug paraphernalia.

At 11 a.m., a caller reported the acupuncturist was late for his appointment in Freeland. All the lights were on in the building and it was not normal for the doctor to be late.

At 11:27 a.m., a caller on Newman Road reported a deceased deer in her front yard. It appeared to have ben struck by a vehicle.

At 3:16 p.m., a teacher reported a female student may have been sexually assaulted by a family member.

At 3:59 p.m., a caller reported hearing gunshots in the woods behind Ken’s Korner mall.

At 5:38 p.m., a caller reported a problems with dogs chasing vehicles at Big Harv’s Lane and Deer Lake Road.

At 9:05 p.m., a caller complained about juveniles ringing his doorbell on Dunlap Drive.

At 10:57 p.m., a caller reported a pickup hit and killed a deer on Bayview Road.
