The Washington State Department of Transportation Ferries announced this morning that the Steilacoom II ferry is out of service for necessary repairs to the electronic control unit for the auxiliary generator.

Keystone-Port Townsend ferry service is cancelled for the remainder of the day. Customers should use alternate routes such as Clinton-Mukilteo and Edmonds-Kingston.

“We apologize for the inconvenience this disruption in service causes our customers,” said David Moseley, assistant secretary of the ferries division. “Our crews are working hard to repair the generator so we can resume service as quickly as possible.”
