As scheduled, the Langley City County held an executive session at City Hall Monday concerning a whistleblower complaint lodged at new Mayor Larry Kwarsick.

However, what happened during the closed-door session remains a mystery. Hal Seligson, a councilman and mayor pro-tem, confirmed that the meeting did take place but said he was unable to talk about anything discussed.

Although the details of the complaint are still largely unknown, the issue reportedly focuses on Kwarsick and decisions he made concerning a family member’s home while he was director of Community Planning.

Kwarsick served in that role during 2011.
