Langley dancers to perform in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”

Two Langley residents, Isabelle and Grace Rookstool, will be performing in this year’s Pacific Northwest Ballet rendition of “The Nutcracker” in the roles of Fighting Mice Women.

Two Langley residents, Isabelle and Grace Rookstool, will be performing in this year’s Pacific Northwest Ballet rendition of “The Nutcracker” in the roles of Fighting Mice Women.

Pacific Northwest Ballet will celebrate its last year of the Stowell and Sendak “Nutcracker,” which has been dazzling Northwest audiences for 31 years, according to a recent new release.

This rendition of the show was created by founding artistic director Kent Stowell and children’s author Maurice Sendak.

The Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, celebrating its 25th anniversary season, will perform musical accompaniment.

The show runs through Dec. 28 at Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall.

Many dancers attend Pacific Northwest Ballet School, which is recognized as one of the top three ballet training institutions in the United States, according to the release.
