“A 1975 Langley High School graduate seriously ill with leukemia is in the Deaconess Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Spokane.Robyn Kennedy was in critical condition as of Wednesday and may need a bone marrow transplant, said her friend and LHS classmate, Kristie (Cook) Soderland. She and other friends are urging classmates and others to donate blood in Kennedy’s name.I just saw her Tuesday, Soderland said, explaining that the illness came as a surprise to Kennedy. She was having trouble breathing and went to the hospital where she was diagnosed as suffering from leukemia. It just popped up in the last week-and-a-half, Soderland said.Doctors are still trying to determine whether a bone marrow transplant will be necessary. Friends are urging people to donate blood in Robyn Kennedy’s name.
