The Langley Chamber and City of Langley partnered to produce the three-minute Langley Loop music video to be released July 1, and they need anyone willing to participate in a 15-second flash mob dance sequence to join in the fun Saturday, May 19.

Rehearsal with Whidbey Island Dance Theatre choreographer Chelsea Matthews-Jensen will begin at 2 p.m. at the bus barn parking lot behind Langley Middle School at the corner of Sixth Street and Camano Avenue. Rehearsal will run through 3:30 p.m. or whenever participants feel comfortable with the steps, which will not be complicated. The official flash mob video will be shot on First Street at Boy & Dog Park beginning at 4 p.m.

No experience is required to participate. The Flash Mob is expected to have more than 100 people dancing, so no one will be turned away. Participants will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement and parental signature will be required for participants under age 18.

If you are interested, meet at the LMS lot at 2:45 p.m. If you have questions, email langley@whidbey.com.
