Proceeds from a salmon dinner in Langley next week will go towards elementary school students in Central America.

The dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Langley United Methodist Church, located on the corner of Third Street and Anthes Avenue.

The fish and main course were donated by Karen and Dave Anderson, Pat McDaniel and Bruce Allen. Side dishes include baked potato from Neil’s Clover Patch Cafe, garlic bread, coleslaw and dessert.

Cost is $13 for adults and $6 for children. Proceeds will support Escuela de la Calle (or EDELAC), a K-6 non-profit elementary school serving the children of Las Rosas, the poorest barrio outside of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Some funds will also help photojournalist Paul Jeffrey. To see his work, kairosphotos.com/blog.
