Langley has an opening on its Parks and Open Space Commission, a citizen group in charge of identifying and protecting public lands in the city.

The member’s term is three years.

The Parks and Open Space Commission is an advisory group to the city council on matters concerning long-range parks and open space planning, including amendments to the Parks & Open Space element of the Langley Comprehensive Plan.

On the commission’s to-do list is getting direction on the Noble Creek property, restoring a wetland behind Langley Middle School and exploring funding for its budget.
