Lyceum series tackles biofuels

Biofuels will be the focus at this month’s presentation, the latest installment in the Lyceum 2.0 series, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island in Freeland.

Biofuels will be the focus at this month’s presentation, the latest installment in the Lyceum 2.0 series, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island in Freeland.

The featured speaker will be Rick Gustafson, an instructor in bioscience and engineering studies at the University of Washington.

The program will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26,

at UUCWI’s meeting house two miles north of Freeland at 20103 Highway 525. Suggested donation is $5, and coffee will be served.

Gustafson has an undergraduate degree in pulp and fiber science and a doctorate in chemical engineering.

The discussion series, designed to tackle the pressing intellectual issues of the day, is sponsored by UUCWI, Transition Whidbey and Whidbey Institute.
